- Arrive at Ridgecrest Conference Center (near Asheville, NC) on May 11, 2026
- You are being asked to arrive at Ridgecrest by 4pm (ET) for check in – Pritchell Hall
Transportation
Please make sure your flight arrives so that you have plenty of time to get to Ridgecrest by 4pm (ET) on Monday May 11.
The closest airport is the Asheville Regional Airport (AVL). Allegiant, American, Delta, Sun Country, and United Airlines fly here. Ridgecrest is about 35 mins away from AVL. We recommend flying into AVL but you can also fly into Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham and Greenville Spartanburg. These airports are farther away and you will need to rent a car.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
The MPDRR team created a document so that you can share your travel info and coordinate rides from the airport to Ridgecrest. You can use Uber/Lyft from AVL or rent a car. If you fly into CLT, RDU, or GSP, you will need to rent a car, and we encourage you to go in with your fellow New Staff to share the cost. Ridgecrest is very far from CLT, RDU, or GSP, and really too far to use Uber or Lyft. If you are struggling with finding a ride, please reach out to us at mpdrr@cru.org.
