New Staff Orientation
OBJECTIVES
New Staff Orientation has been designed with several objectives in mind:
Build Community
There will be segments throughout that will help you grow in knowing each other and the leadership of Cru.
Expand your vision and understanding of Cru
Hearing from leadership, learning about different ministries, and seeing how God is at work will broaden your view of Cru.
Refresh and affirm His call
You will have opportunities to share your story and hear others. As you reflect on these stories, you will leave with a great sense of God’s calling in your life.
Orient you to life and work as a missionary with Cru
You will leave NSO prepared for all that is required of you as you transition to full time MPD.
ORIENTATIONS
This takes place four times a year. For information about specific NSO dates, schedule, finances, attendance expectations, and logistics for each orientation, read here.
BASIC SCHEDULE
Anyone who desires to become a full-time staff member with Cru is expected and required to attend New Staff Orientation in its entirety and to fully participate in the entire program/curriculum.
If you are married and both husband and wife are joining staff with Cru, it is important and strategic for both to attend and participate in all the sessions.
Please note that the above 9-day schedule (10 days if you are joining with the Campus Ministry) is the general schedule for all orientations regardless of when you join. NSO will begin on a Friday and will end with a commissioning ceremony on the following Saturday evening.
If you have any questions, please email your Applicant Liaison or join.us@cru.org.
